CHIREC - Hôpital de Braine-l'Alleud Waterloo

Braine-l'Alleud NIHDI status not established

The service

The third laboratory of the CHIREC sleep disorders center, in building D, level 0. The study is done as an overnight stay, from 7 pm to 7 am.

Reaching the laboratory directly

Ces numéros mènent au service, pas au standard de l'hôpital. C'est l'information la plus difficile à obtenir quand on cherche à réserver une nuit d'examen ou à faire régler sa CPAP.

What we are missing for this center

We would rather say so than let you think it does not exist. If you happen to know any of these, it will help everyone who looks after you.

  • We are missing the CPAP follow-up number. For a leaking mask, a filter, a setting to adjustI can tell you
  • We are missing the email address of the secretariat. To write to the service rather than call ten timesI can tell you
  • We are missing the usual waiting time.It is the first thing everyone asksI can tell you
  • We are missing the doctors who hold consultations.Pulmonologist, neurologist or ENT, depending on the centerI can tell you

What happens on site

Tests

  • Polysomnography: breathing events, heart, brain and muscle activity
  • Infrared camera for abnormal movements during sleep

Not sure what to expect? The page what a night in a sleep laboratory is really like walks through the evening, the sensors being fitted and the morning after.

What patients say

No reviews for this center yet. If you have spent a night here, or if this is where your CPAP is followed up, what you write will help the people still hesitating.

Review this center

Every review is read by a person before it is published. Signing in proves that an account exists, not that someone has been to this center: no online review system can prove that, and we would rather say so than display a “verified review” badge that would not be one.
